“Phallus Archive” is a project that investigates the representation of the male body through a series of oil pastel portraits created at a 1:1 scale.
The subjects are real, rendered with precision, all portrayed in the same position, with the same framing and the same visual language.
This compositional choice eliminates hierarchies and implicit judgments, allowing the viewer’s gaze to dwell on the natural differences in shapes, colors, and proportions.
The project fits within the contemporary discourse on body diversity and seeks to remove the penis from the dualism between taboo and hypersexualization, instead restoring it as a human element.
Each portrait thus becomes a fragment of identity, a visual document that invites us to reconsider what is normally hidden, ridiculed, or compared in a toxic way.
