Matteo Della Libera

I was born in 1989 in Conegliano in Italy. As a child I loved drawings. In 2004 I enrolled at the State Institute of Art studying graphic design.
Here I also discovered the passion for illustration. I abandoned the Japanese style to search for a personal one. I graduated in 2008 and immediately started working as an graphic designer. At the same time I continued to refine my pictorial skills.
Over time I developed the desire to make my artistic production a concrete part of my professional career. With this spirit, Non c'è nulla di più contagioso del male, a mature and experimental project inspired by Pasolini's film Salò or the 120 days of Sodom was born in 2017.
This project led me to exhibit in various cities in northern Italy such as Padua, Bologna and Milan. In 2019 the style of the new works differs stylistically from the previous project. The new subjects focus on the realistic representation of the naked body. In 2020 I creating canvases inspired by the film Fellini-Satyricon. These canvases are displayed together in 2022 with a selection of the old works in the exhibition entitled Sguardi (Gazes) in Milan and subsequently re-proposed in Vittorio Veneto.
