Auguste Friedrich

Auguste Friedrich takes images that reflect a queer self-conception which creates space for both strength and vulnerability
while also standing for sexual freedom and expression.
Through his portraits and bold body studies of queer people and allies, he aims to give the community a face and tell their stories.
In his work, he not only questions his own perception of femininity and masculinity but also the perspectives within the queer family.
Influenced by the stories of those he portrays, he strives to create a connection with the viewer – to touch, inspire, and captivate.
Because he believes that the world needs queer voices – now more than ever.

Auguste Friedrich studied photography and communication design.

He lives and works in Berlin.
