Francesca Alaimo

I am a self-taught London based visual artist. My work is centred on intersectional feminism, queer identity and existentialism; it explores themes of shame, queer identity, vulnerability and courage, starting a discourse on gender non-conformity, body awareness, radical existence and identity validation from a place of questioning.
At the core of my artistic practice is the belief that by disclosing our differences we create links with people who share our experiences but don’t feel validated. The Artist has the skill to empower the viewer to share who they are, initiating a contagious wave of (self)acceptance and (self)love.
I have exhibited extensively in galleries and online since 2020 and have been published in several art magazines for sale in various galleries and museums. My work was in the Discerning Eye exhibition 2022 and is in the John Ruskin Prize 2024.
