In this series, Stor Dubiné employs the centuries-old format of playing cards to represent different types of man, as well as the emotional and physical dynamics between them.
Inspired by the layout and style of the French-suited deck, his works depict four kinds of men who by their very nature enjoy dominating other men, their senses and their desires, exerting maximum power over them.
And as a counterpoint, the series also features a joker, who relishes being dominated and, seemingly, objectified – but sometimes also reverses the roles, manipulating, dominating and subjugating the powerful.
