Chalk on paper gives my work a soft, tactile quality, allowing for gentle transitions between shadows and highlights that contrast with the intense themes Im exploring. My artwork delves into fetish and BDSM as a form of self-expression, exploring how these practises involve trust, vulnerability, and indentity play. Pet play, in particular, interests me as it touches on themes of power dynamics, yet with an almost childlike innocence and playfulness. I want to evoke both intimacy and distance, drawing viewers into a world that might feel unfamiliar or taboo, yet is rooted in genuine emotional connections between individuals. My work follows along tradition of artists who explore identity and non-mainstream expressions of love and companionship. Through chalk, Im interested in how these themes – often hidden or misunderstood- can be represented with both boldness and subtlety.
