Description
Alex and I first met at the Fotografiska Museum during the opening of the Andy Warhol exhibition. I saw him and thought, “He’s beautiful; I would love to paint him.” Moments later, he approached me and asked, “Are you an artist?” I replied, “Yes,” and he said, “I saw that in you.” I handed him my card, inviting him to reach out if he wanted to be painted.
Just five days later, he stood naked in my kitchen, just hours before leaving for Barcelona to study art. Despite his fear of being perceived, Alex gifted me the opportunity to photograph him as a reference for my “Cowboys & Cowgirls” series.
